AGBOR SHOOTING: VICTIM MAKES U-TURN AFTER ALLEGED INDUCEMENT

The Victim, Sunny Okonye in his pool of blood

Senator Okowa

Barely one month after he was shot several times by a killer squad, one allegedly sponsored by the senator representing Delta North in the National Assembly, Mr. Sunny Okonye, an Agbor-based Hotelier, has made a U-turn to exonerate Senator Ifeanyi Okowa of sponsorship of a killer squad that shot him.

It was a dispute, or misunderstanding, between Mr. Sunny Okonye, and Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, for reportedly burning down one of Okowa’s 2015 governorship billboards at Agbor Delta Decides has learnt.

Okonye, owner of the Sunny Guest House, in Boji Boji-Agbor, the Ika South local government area of Delta state, had made the legal U-turn Sunday. The U-Turn came about during a press briefing in Asaba, where he confessed that he was actually “brainwashed” by the caretaker committee chairman of Ika South, Engr. Andrew Obiazi and the former presidential adviser, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh. The ‘brainwashing’ Okonye said was geared to implicate Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, and his aides, shortly after the incident in which he was shot several times with a pump action gun at close range.

2015: URHOBO INSIST ON PRODUCING NEXT DELTA GOVERNOR.

The people of Urhobo ethnic nationality in Delta Central senatorial district have vowed to produce the next governor of Delta State in 2015, even with the last drop of their blood.

This was disclosed yesterday at Mosogar, in Ethiope West local government area, by the first Deputy President General of Urhobo Progressive Union, UPU, Engr (Chief) Joe Omene.

Omene maintained that it was the turn of Urhobo to produce the next governor to take over from the outgoing Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan in 2015, lamenting that the most populated ethnic group in the state is being marginalised at the federal level.

According to him, Urhobo gave over 800,000 votes to president goodluck Jonathan in the last presidential election, and wondered why the same Urhobo people have been so regrettably sidelined, and marginalised in the scheme of things.

As the drum from the land of the spirit continues to churn out sweet melodies, the Nza bird standing by the roadside continues to hop around in complete ecstasy of what its ear was hearing. The probing eyes of the ordinary being wondered in confusion and surprise to what the Nza bird was doing but as we say in our proverb,....''The bird that dances by the bush path has an ear listening to a sweet song coming out from the bush''

As the holiness of one the governorship aspirant continues to attract more cont
roversial views, new developments are beginning to send strong wind to expose the anus of the fowl.

2015 ZONING AND POWERSHIF: THE STORY OF MY PARTY.......Chief Peter Nwaoboshi.

Chief Barr. Peter Nwaobos
Chief Onyeluka Nwaoboshi on Tuesday proved why he is fondly regarded as the ''ORACLE'' of Delta state politics. This Anioma born political wizard took his time while addressing some party faithfuls to zoom into the particles of what can be rightly considered the forensic analysis of the genesis of the PDP in Delta state.
Listening to this man speaks gives you the confidence that he is in and out a PDP lord in Delta state, not just by his position but by the mere facts that the history of the PDP in Delta state is in his palm.

In a reminiscent effort to prove and put all political neophytes into sleep on the question of zoning within the party in the state, Chief Nwaoboshi spelt out what was of the party from its inception and highlighted on the various political activities and agreements reached by the founding fathers of the party in the state to put the party in a strong footing as it is today.

2015 POWER-SHIFT TUSSLE: UDUAGHAN SUES FOR PEACE

Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan
Delta State governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, has waded into the rumpus generated by a publication, quoting the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Mr Ovuozourie Macaulay, as saying that he (Macaulay) was not aware of any agreement between the Anioma and other parts of the state for a power shift.

DELTA DECIDES reliably gathered that following the dust raised by the reckless comment, the governor spoke with the embattled SSG, who was reported to have told the governor that the views he expressed were supposed to be “off camera” at his residence after a formal briefing.

2015 Guber Race: Delta PDP Chairman Blasts SSG Over Power Shift....Says He Should Shut up His Mouth

Left Gov. Uduaghan, Centre Chief Peter Nwaoboshi

Comrade Macaulay had in a statement published in a National newspaper alleged that he was not aware of any agreement between the Anioma and other parts of the state for a power shift. A statement highly considered by the Anioma born state party chairman as reckless and capable of heating up the polity in the state.

A Sincere Advise to Political Surrogates...By Smart Ajaja

The best way to sell a candidate to the electorates is to espouse the good qualities of that candidate and his positions on critical issues, and not by attacking his opponents, using unsubstantiated frivolities, the consequences of which could be fatal if the voters are enlightened enough to read between the lines.

It is sad that Nigerian politics is played on the "Ghana must go" mentality rather than principles, issues and ideologies, and this accounts for why there are so many fools with money occupying sensitive positions they know nothing about and what is expected of anybody in those positions.

I hope the people would be wiser in 2015 by not casting votes based on emotion associated with allegiance to blood, tribe, religion or religious denominations, salt, rice beans and Ankara gifts, but on issues like Healthcare, economy, Job creation and security, Gender equality and social security etc,

Let's do things differently for a change.

2015 GOVERNORSHIP RACE; Senator Pius Akpo Ewerido Empowers His Trusted Aids

In an elaborate and colourful ceremony held on Monday, the 18th of March at his Ekpan office Warri, Senator Akpo Pius Ewerido, the Senator representing Delta Central in the National Assembly, Abuja and a top DPP contender for the gubernatorial ticket for 2015 General election has thanked all his trusted aids who worked for him in the last Senatorial election and have remained loyal to him. He dished out cars to these men he believes have shown so much commitment and dedication to his political course. The Senator who is relying on Delta Central, the Urhobos, to realize his 2015 political ambition had to dole out cash, 17 Gulf and 4 Toyota Camry cars to each of his political aids in each of the Local Governments in Delta Central in appreciation of their dogged commitment to his political ambition. Briefing beneficiaries, the Democratic Peoples Part (DPP) Delta Central chairman, Chief Henry Olori said the exercise is in continuation of the Senator’s empowerment scheme in fulfillment of his electioneering promises to the electorate. According to Chief Olori, as against the current 21 cars being given out in the first batch, the extra, making it a total of 35, would be given out in the second batch. In his reaction, a chieftain of Democratic Peoples Party (DPP), Mr. Igoruh Onobaka, lambasted the Senator, saying he promised to install factories in some cities in Delta central, now he is given out cars instead of the factories he promised during election. It should be noted that these type of cars cannot even be used for commercial purposes. While we regard this as a stark rape on our fragile democracy, we wish to call on Deltans especially Delta Central (the Urhobos), to be wary of politicians who use money meant for the development of their communities to buy cars for their political aids.

DELTA 2015: WHY SENATOR IFEANYI OKOWA MAY NOT BE A GOOD CHOICE FOR DELTANS

Senator Ifeanyi Okowa
It is no longer news that Senator Ifeanyi Okowa is training seriously to run for Governor of Delta State in 2015.
