Prince (Barrister) Christmas Akpodiete is an activist, an Abuja based lawyer cum politician. He is the Managing Director, Oceanic Petroleum & Energy Development Company Ltd, National Coordinator, United Front for President Jonathan/Sambo, a son of renowned lawyer, late Chief (Dr) Ekuo Akpodiete, a legal icon of Grey’s Inn London and of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
In the second republic, his father was a strong political ally of Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Chief Edwin Clark and Chief David Dafinone among others.

A yet-to-be confirmed report reaching Delta Decide from his close associate has it that the lawyer, turned politician, is currently in consultation with Delta stakeholders in joining the 2015 gubernatorial race under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to realize his governorship ambition.

However, nothing much has been heard from him so far regarding his rumourned gubernatorial ambition.
