2015: UDUAGHAN UNDER SEVERE PRESSURE TO PICK EMETULU AS HIS SUCCESSOR.

Charles Emetulu
The political atmosphere in the state is cooking at a very high tensity with the proponents of power shift almost having their way.

Barring any further ''maradonic'' adventures from Uduaghan , information filtering in to AV-News, Kwale has it that based on the meeting of the Urhobo stakeholders in the PDP held in Mosogar and after due consultation with some Urhobo governorship aspirants, the Urhobo leaders have settled to support the Anioma governorship agenda ,though not without a condition attached.
Gov. Uduaghan

It is the condition attached to their decision to support an Anioma born governor that is about to further tear the PDP apart. Our source revealed that the leaders and elders of Delta Central led by Chief Amori Ighoyhota are mounting pressure on Gov Uduaghan to name Hon Charles Emetulu, the state commissioner for power and energy as his successor.

Hon Emetulu is an Anioma man from Ndokwa extraction and it is the belief of the  he is the most qualified person from Anioma that can be trusted. This new development is coming at the heel of an assumed anointment of Dr Tony Chuks Obuh by the governor as his likely successor.

The Urhobos have agreed to withdraw from running for the governorship post provided that their interest is protected and it is believed, according to the elders that it is only the govt of Hon Emetulu that they feel protected as against the alleged vendetta mission of some of the Anioma aspirants.

The elders described Hon Emetulu as a young and courageous man that is humble and focused. They further described him as a detribalized Deltan in whom both the Delta Central and Delta South will find comfortable working with.
Hon Emetulu is one of the trusted allies of Gov Uduaghan and he is known for his truthfulness. How Uduaghan handles the pressure will help go a long way in settling frayed nerves currently running within the party.
