Group Condemns FG's Plan to Borrow $30b, and Approved N37 For N/Assembly Renovation.

Human Right Liberty Access and Peace Defenders (HURIDE ), has  condemned the plan by the Federal Government of Nigeria to borrow a whopping sum of $30 billion loan for the country.

Unfortunately, said HURIDE, as incentive to convince the National Assembly to  approve the loan, the Federal Government has approved  N37 billion for the renovation of National Assembly.

Further Condemning this approval, HURIDE in a statement signed by its chairman, Board of Trustees, Dede Uzor, A. Uzor and Chief media officer Mazi Unah Zack Unah signed in Enugu said that this amount to " rob my back and I rob your body type of politics '"  which will not work in this country again should be totally condemned.

President Muhammadu Buhari has been urged not to plunge Nigeria into dangerous religious war of attrition with his new foreign policy of waking up to open Nigeria borders to Africans without visas.

The Human, Right, Liberty Access, and Peace Defenders' Foundation (HURIDE), which made the call after its national executive end of the year meeting in Lagos, expressed shock that President Buhari who few months ago closed border ahead of 2019 Christmas will immediately open it for his kinsmen from every part of the continent to troop into the country unchecked to allow Buhari actualise his aborted RUGA policy.

Beam Your Searchlight On South East, South South Governors - Right Group Urges EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has been asked to beam its search light on  the finances and expenditure of South East and South South Governors.

The Human Right, Liberty Access and Peace Defenders Foundation (HURIDE), in s strongly worded statement during the weekend after their quarterly meeting held in Enugu which they used  to  asses the performances  and implementation of2018/ 2019 budgets of each of the State in the zones,  lamented the abysmal performance of the Governors in the face of huge infrastructural decay in their respective states.

Bring Back AMATAS - ATF Tells Obiano and Okafor

The Anambra State Traders' Forum (ATF),:has urged the State Commissioner for  Trade, Commerce  and Wealth Creation, Chief Uchenna Okafor, to ensure immediate restoration of Amalgamated Markets Traders Association of Anambra State (AMATAS).

The President  of ATF, Dede Uzor, A Uzor, told newsmen  in Awka, Anambra State, during a  press statement that the Commissioner as a first step should call a meeting of all stakeholders in Anambra markets, which would include AMATAS and ASMATA to find a way forward to organise proper,all-inclusive and free,credible and fair election for traders, which should be supervised by AMATAS.

He said the suggestion was in order given the fact that AMATAS was legally registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and also has made  the State proud by supporting Governor Willie Obiano's administration  especially during his second term election.

Follow Due Process, ATF Charges New Anambra Commerce Commissioner

The new Commissioner for Commerce, Trade and Wealth Creation in Anambra State, Chief Uchenna Okafor, has been urged to follow due process, rule of law and respect for citizens' rights in the discharge of his official functions.

The Anambra State Traders' Forum (ATF), which made the call in a statement in Onitsha, commended Governor Willie Obiano for reassigning Chief Okafor from Transport Ministry to Commerce and Trade Ministry.
