UZUM, MOST ACTIVE APPOINTEE IN OKOWA'S ADMINISTRATION - DELTA STUDENTS

Members of National Association of Delta State Students, (NADESSTU) have declared the Executive Assistant/CEO ( Directorate of Orientation ) to the Governor, Barr. Eugene Azuka Uzum as the most active appointee in Okowa's administration, asserting that the Directorate of Orientation remains an effective force to partner with.

The student body while recognising Uzum's passion towards orienting Deltans on government policies and activities as well as reporting the pause of the people back to the Government, passed a vote of confidence on him.



The vote of confidence was passed yesterday 8/3/2018 during a courtesy visit by top delegation of the group to Barr. Uzum at his office in Asaba.

The delegation led by the National President, Comrade Agolo Samson, Barr. Uzum, said the body is an important part of the government, stressing that any government that maligns such a body is unfair in her dealings to the student Community. He also stated that their visit is apt, particularly as sensitization and Voters Education for Permanent Voters Card is on top gear and requires a wider advocacy beyond the walls of the Government. He encouraged them to be bold and courageous in pursuing any course they believe in and promised to continuously involve them in disseminating information on what the government is doing towards improving the standard of living for all Deltans. While appealing to them to think right and act right in order not to jeopardize their future dreams and ambitions, he reiterated that passion and dogged determination is needed for greater service delivery to humanity.

 Responding On behalf of the group, Comrade Agolo Samson enumerated the purpose of their visit to include finding out ways to synergize with the Government towards making policies that will better the lives of students within the students Community and by extension the State in general, having programmes relating to students welfare amongst other reasons.

 The climax of the visit was the presentation of a certificate of credence to the Executive Assistant by the NADESSTU National Executive.

 In his remarks, Barr. Uzum thanked the student body for finding Him worthy of such recognition /certificate, dedicating it to His Excellency, Sen Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa whom he said provided him the opportunity to serve in the capacity of Delta State boss Orientation, even as he wished the students body the best of luck in their future endeavors, adding that he hopes to partner with them in subsequent programmes.
