Uvwie PVC Missing, Opposition Alleges ***As Evelyn Obaro Coax Electorates to Vote PDP

WARRI- With less than 27 days to the Presidential and National Assembly elections, the people of Uvwie may be disenfranchised following their inability to get their PVCs.

According to some residents, they trooped in to the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to collect their cards but was only told by officials of the commission that their PVCs have not arrived.


An indigene who spoke to DELTA DECIDES but does not want his name to be mentioned for fear of being attacked narrated how he was able to collect his card after several attempts.

''I was lucky to have my card. When I got to the INEC office, I was told someone has collected it while some of my friends were also told their is yet-to arrive.''
 ''I insisted that I must have my card and after much heated argument, I was directed to meet with a PDP youth that collected some cards, then I proceeded to his house where he gave me my card.''
He wondered how some people could go to truncate the process with I must win mentality.

Meanwhile, the All Progressive Congress, APC supporters in the area has accused the house of representatives candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Evelyn Obaro of threatening and coaxing Uvwie electorates to vote for PDP.

Investigation by DELTA DECIDES reveals that Hon. Obaro and her campaign team visited some primary schools in Uvwie where it was confirmed that the lawmaker authoritatively stated before the school teachers that Asaba has instructed them to vote for her and PDP all through.

This is coming on the heels as some civil servants in the area has equally alleged that they have received some threat that should they retain their jobs, they should vote for the ruling party, PDP in all the position.
The civil servants claims that the instruction to vote PDP was from Asaba, the state capital.
