The rumour has been going round for quite sometime now and as much we try to waive it off, it keeps re-echoing. We are not saying that there is an element of truth in it neither we are saying that there is no iota of truth in it but we can no longer keep it as it is our duty to sensitize our eligible voters as the date for the general elections draws closer.
The rumour mill has it that Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, the All Progressive Congress, APC Delta Gubernatorial Candidate for this 2015 general elections has no manifestos or programmes he intends to pursue should he emerged as the governor of our oil rich state.
According to sources who hinted DELTA DECIDES, this candidate who shout 'change' in the day has not deemed it fit to draw up a manifesto or road map in his campaign to win the hearts and minds of Deltans.
It will be recalled that in penultimate week, one of our own social activist challenged the team known as 'Otegability Change' to publish the policies and programmes to be pursued by Olorogun O’tega, but instead the team shielded away.
All efforts to reach Olorogun O’tega proved abortive as he didn't pick calls put across to him and neither did he responde to text message sent to him.
While it is not our intention to run any politician down, we wish to state categorically that it is our call that those seeking elective offices should publish the policies and programmes they intend to pursue as our adage says: A chick that will grow into a cock can only be spotted the very day it hatches.. This means that one can easily foresee the future of something through the character and tell-tale signs it exhibits today.
