CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR MESSAGE FROM DELTA DECIDES

As we celebrate, the year ahead presents before us an unprecedented opportunity for Deltans to withdraw the mantle of leadership from our TESTED and FAILED politicians; as it is said in our adage, that it is in the bitterness of a bitter kola that you can tell it of its bitterness. Yes! This is the right time to SHUN those politicians who have failed us abysmally.

 The primaries are over and the political parties have fielded their candidates as flag bearers. At this point, it would be pertinent for us to bear in mind that the interest of our dear state, Delta State, supersedes every form of personal interest.

 In the light of the above, we are using this platform to clamour for peaceful free and fair elections. We do understand that some of you have your respective principals on the search for elective positions and we have realised that you have at many times, traded words with opposing supporters in a bid to propagate the course of your principals. However, the time for seeking relevance and popularity has gone, as the election is just a few days away. This is the time for us to decide who should lead us.

 Although we have gotten several reports from our brethren from a particular tribe of a cesspool of fear and intimidation, being carried out by a pressure group. We are not perturbed by their antics because this is not strange. Delta Decides, as the mother of all socio-political pressure groups in the state, shall resist any attempt to turn these 2015 elections into an exercise steered towards the abyss of tribalism.

 The future of Delta State lies in our hands. We must change our mindset as we begin the journey towards the total transformation of our dear state.

 As we head towards the forthcoming elections, we are appealing to everyone to give their mandate to any candidate, irrespective of their TRIBE or PARTY; give your mandate to anyone who can lift Delta State to new heights. Indeed, a mandate from you is a promise of hope. It is a mandate to achieve greatness together as ONE PEOPLE, ONE VISION and ONE STATE.
