Many of our youths have contributed to
marginalising themselves in terms of being part of the leadership of our
nation. No one ever hands over power to another, on a platter of gold.
So far, most of them are hungry for money, quick money, so that's what
they get. A youth population, especially in our region, that reasons
only along the lines of religion, tribe and money, is only thinking the
way our leaders have manipulated and conditioned them to
think. Such youths, who cannot think for themselves, are not mature,
they are unstable, unreliable and they are not ready for leadership.
If a dubious politician pays you to create news sites and fake
profiles to disseminate lies, he is never going to hand over meaningful
power to you. He would always view you as one of his hangers-on, a
parasite. His children will also rule over your children!
Our
youths need to show that they are hungry for power and then, demand it.
They also need to show that they can handle power. They need to show
that they can reason independently, having open minds made solid by
truth. Respect yourself and others will respect you.
