Making the declaration on Monday before a mammoth crowd of PDP supporters at his residence, Ayiri Emami, who convened the meeting, disclosed that having held wide consultations across the state, the PDP has given them the go-ahead to sensitise Deltans on the need to queue behind Obuh.

The Majority Leader of the state House of Assembly, Monday Igbuya, who also spoke on the occasion, said Obuh has been a consistent and loyal party member and in the spirit of power shifting to Delta North Senatorial District, he has the blessing of the party leadership.

The group, which adopted the name, Delta United for Tony Obuh, vowed to deliver him to Government House in 2015, even as the gathering had in attendance the political bigwigs from the three senatorial district of the state.

All the leaders from the three senatorial districts pledged their support for the candidacy of Obuh and thanked the convener for hosting the inaugural meeting of the group, noting that since the structure has given the green light with Chief Ayiri as the messenger, they would no longer follow just any aspiring governorship candidate again.
