His Excellency Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has created the Delta State Bureau of Orientation and appointed Barr Eugene Azuka Uzum Director General. This is in line with His Excellencies SMART initiative of taking the policy of the state to the people, creating the right attitudinal mindset for both government and private sector employees, sustaining the right mental attitude and consistently upgrading the mindset of our youths towards a better future.
To all intents and purposes, the saying that “the morning shows the day”, cannot be more apt than in the enormous sagacity and astute leadership of Barr Eugene Azuka Uzum. Sequel to the elevation of the newly appointed Director General, Bureau of Orientation, he has in his efforts to hit the ground running, brain stormed with his team on the process of orienting and positioning deltans.
Barr Uzum, while thanking the governor for his reappointment/elevation described the purpose of an orientation bureau as a bridge between the government and the governed and a mental infrastructural factory geared towards enhancing the people's confidence in government, streamlining ethics, creating and sustaining of right mental attitude to compliment the efforts of government.
"It is our responsibility to communicate adequately with deltans because when the government and the governed are on the same page, governance becomes easier" he reiterated.
