Gov. Obiano, CP Lauded Over Low Crime Rate In Anambra

Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State and the state Commissioner of Police, Mr John Abang, have elicited commendation from community leaders in the State for their resolve  to ensure a crime-free state.

One of such commendation came from the President General of Okpoko community in Ogbaru Local Government Area of the State, Hon Edwin Emesinwa, who said with the efforts of the  duo of Obiano and Abang the  people of the State  can now work freely.



Emesinwa said  before now cultists and other hoodlums held Okpoko hostage but with the efforts of the Governor and the Anambra State Police  Command, they now have respite from hoodlums.

He said "today my vigilante outfit, in conjunction
with the police, especially the Special Anti -Cult Squad, (SPACS) have sacked  these cultists and other criminals operating  in Okpoko community".

The President-general said SPACS led by Mr Christopher Bassey, a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), in concert   with other Policemen have been doing wonderful job in ensuring that the  State was rid of hoodlums.

"We  now sleep with our two eyes closed. I thank the
State Police Command particularly SPACs which have been  doing wonderfully well in  the way they have been combating cultism in the State and other crime. I specially commend their commander. He is a no nonsense officer when it comes to fighting cultism and other related criminal activities.
He has drastically reduced cultism in the state"said Emesinwa.

He said they were aware of what people in the neighbouring  states we'e going through in the  hands of criminals ."If you compare them with Anambra state, you will quite agree  that Anambta is far ahead in  issue of security of lives and property"he said.
