MATERNAL DEATHS AT PREGNANCY IS STILL A CAUSE FOR CONCERN - UDUAGHAN

 The Immediate past Governor of Delta State, Nigeria, and the senatorial Aspirant of Delta South senatorial district, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, has disclosed that the Maternal deaths at pregnancy or child birth is still a cause for concern especially amongst the poor.

Dr. Uduaghan made the disclosure in a Facebook post. He said, "We reduced the Maternal deaths amongst the poor by ensuring that every pregnant woman in Delta State had access to free maternal healthcare, which comprised of free ante-natal care, delivery, and even free investigation and management of infertility in our Govt hospitals".

He further stressed that, he intends to replicate same feat in the district especially as there is a clamour for effective representation at the senatorial level come 2019.



This reporter made a survey on his contributions in the health sector while as Governor, of the State, it was recorded that reports were favourable as one of the respondents said there were lots of accolades he won while as Governor of Delta State, Nigeria.

"I can not remember when my wife or even my children paid hospital bills when Dr. Uduaghan was the governor of Delta State, Nigeria," Ejime Oyibo from Ika South said.
