The world longest reigning monarch, the Obi of Akumazi, His Royal Majesty Stephen Osagie, has passed on.
The revered monarch transited on May 9, 2018. It was gathered that HRM Osagie ascended the throne as the 22nd Obi of Akumazi, a fast growing town in Delta State, on January 5, 1953. He reigned on the throne of his ancestors for Sixty-Five years and Four months.
Akumazi is an agrarian community in Ika northeast local government of Delta state.
An impeccable source from the Royal Palace disclosed that the eldest son of the late monarch and heir to the throne has been crowned as HRM Henry Ezeagwukpo Jegbefume. The new monarch is a footballer and former banker with Union Bank Plc.
