New Year Message From Delta Decides

Dear Deltans,

Firstly we wish you all happy New Year celebrations. As we celebrate, let us not forget that this year present an unprecedented opportunity for us particularly political party executives (delegates) to elect credible men and women as party flagbearers for the up coming 2015 general election in different political offices.

Yes, Deltans shall decide in 2015 general election, but before then, party executives shall be electing party flagbearers that would represent their party as candidate. So, we are doing everything within our confine in making sure that credible men and women are elected but only and if the presidency do not mandate party leaders to deliver a particular candidate.

Delta Decides as the mother of all socio-political pressure groups was not built on any ethnicity or to promote ethnic agenda….That we are not working for Urhobo, Isoko, Ijaw or Itsekiri agenda does not meaning we are for any other aspirant from the north… That we didn’t key into ‘Anioma agenda’ does not also mean DD is working for any governorship aspirant from the south or central.

We want to state clearly that DD does not have any preferred or anointed candidate as our only support can be given to a honest, genuine and credible candidate with integrity that will represent the sole interest of all Deltans.

As an online and grassroot organization, our sole aim is to propagate and promote the wishes and aspirations of the common deltan, while also demanding accountable leadership from our political representatives. However, that doesn’t mean we are out to witch-hunt any politician as it is our belief that all those aspiring to become the governor of our dear state should be accessed based on their antecedents.
This has become necessary as a political rep who could not represent the interest of his/her electorate in any little capacity may not be able to do so when given the mandate to rule the entire state.

Once again, We thank you all!

Signed:
Darlington Okonma,
Coordinator.

Lady Flora Dafe,
Secretary
