DELTA 2015: PROF UTOMI's ENTRANCE, CAUSING CONFUSSION ***PDP Group considering lobbying Dr Ngozi Okonjo - Iweala.

It is said that the entrance of a 'BIG' masquerade unto the centre stage often times causes commotion among the smaller masquerades as they retreat into their huts out of fear and to draw up a new dance steps.

This is exactly what the anticipated entrance of Prof. Pat Okedinachi Utomi into the governorship race come 2015 is causing the various camps of the PDP faithfuls in the state A PDP cacus source confirmed to Delta Decides 2015 that since the news started making rounds that the Professor has joined the Action Congress of Nigeria ACN and might be contesting for the governorship position in 2015, a major confusion has erupted in the PDP camp that might lead to the final demise of the party's over 13 years long hold in the state.


The source has it that a group of PDP politicians in the state who recognizes the antecedents of Prof. Utomi as well as the political structure of the ACN under Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is concerned that the party matches the ACN by looking outside the current hopefuls in Delta PDP in finding a credible and suitable candidate. This school of thoughts within the party has therefore set a motion on ground to lobby the Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo into running for the 2015 governorship post in the state.

 The group which members cut across the state is of the opinion that with Prof. Utomi set to run under the ACN and with the National body of ACN ready and willing to square up with the PDP in the state that the best option for the party is to lure somebody with the status of Dr Ngozi Okonjo to carry the party's flag or the party might lose the state to the ACN in 2015. The group sees Dr Ngozi Okonjo as the PDP equivalent of Prof. Utomi should he eventually wins the ACN ticket as expected.
 A delegation is expected to meet with the Honorable Minister for Finance in the next couple of weeks.
