The Senator Peter Onwaoboshi Campaign Organization (SPON) has alerted the general public on what it called a fake Facebook account created in the name of Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi.

The SPON Campaign Director on New Media, Barr Azuka Eugene Uzum made this known yesterday in a statement as he stated fraudsters have been using the fake social media account to fleece innocent people in the name and an image of Distinguished Senator Nwaoboshi.



“Our attention has been drawn to the existence of a fake Facebook account created by some cyber criminals in the popular social media network.

“The purported facebook-social media account with the name 'Sen Peter Nwaoboshi' has our principal's personal and official pictures.”

Barr Uzum therefore urged the public to be vigilant so as not to fall prey to fraudsters like this.

Barr Uzum also advised members of the public to disregard the Facebook account operating in Sen Nwaoboshi's name.

“Any person who transacts any business or makes any comment in the said fake facebook or social media accounts does so at his or her own risk,” Barr Uzum warned.
