A community leader and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ika South local government area, Delta State, sir. IDION Peter, has congratulated Barr. Victor Okoh and all PDP councillors that won in this last local government elections that was held on the 6, January 2018 in all the 25 local government of the state over their landslide victory.
Mr. Idion Peter, in a statement made available to The Press, an online Newspapers thanked the good people of Ika South Local Government for coming out to vote en- mass.
The Statesman added," It was indeed wonderful as the people of Ika South came out en-mass, unanimously voted for PDP."
He further added that the victory was as a result of hard work and says," It is known that there is no success without hard work. PDP won because there was hard work and besides, Barr. Victor Okoh, has been tested and trusted since when he held public office. He is a result oriented person and as such, we do not have doubt in his emergence as Chairman Of the Local Government."
Mr. Idion Peter, says he was using this medium and opportunity to wish them well while they coast to their respective offices." I wish them a hitch free work and also appealed to some PDP members who decamped to APC to return back home and join forces with their PDP party brothers and sisters to return our amiable and compassionate Gov Okowa back in 2019.
He said; "No matter the intimidations by a newly decamped APC chieftain who was boasting that he controls the police and army, we will remain resolute in making sure Ika south does not become an opposition local govt in delta state."
He further lambasted the APC chieftain who went on air to claim that no election was held in Ika South. "It's shameful that such a man who is supposed to congratulate the winners went about deceiving people. Its so sad. However, we expected it from him because it would have been fearful if he didn't make such statements. The election was free, fair and credible. "
He thank the chairman and members of DSIEC for job well done.
"Whoever say there was no election in Ika south is out of his or her mind because I saw members of delta decide who was appointed as an observer and I am sure Delta decide being a reputable online press will say a different word because they witnessed voters voting peacefully. APC was defeated squarely. We wanted to test run our preparation for 2019 Governor Okowa election and it worked out well. Thanks be unto God for His grace to PDP," he added.
Well said. I hereby implore all members of our great party,the PDP not to dwell so much on the recent victory at the local government polls as we should focus more on the bigger picture,that is to return our amiable and indefatigable governor come 2019.
ReplyDeleteWe have to be more resolute and united in this course as the whole country and beyond knows that Delta State is and will always be PDP.
We are not bothered about any party's chieftain or whatever they say as we are all aware that they have a history of negative publicty,lies,propaganda and blackmail. But we will teach them lessons they will never forget,we will be united against their treachery and plans to truncate Ekwueme's second term. It will never work in Jesus name. Amen. Shame to bad people.
