Okowa Denies His Responsibility, Says," Delta Not Owing Workers Salary"

Ifeanyi Okowa

By Agboje Chuks
I read with shock and great dismay the reply made in favour of Delta State government over a publication published by vanguard news paper dated 28, Tuesday, November 2017 on the status of workers salaries .

In the reply, I was puzzled as I perceived the reply by Patrick Ukah, the Commissioner of information, Delta State , Nigeria, as scuzzy, odious and misleading with highly vitiated motive and fixated make-up as many Deltans are still Sick with the deep-rooted lies  that is keeping them in wonderment as he laid claim that okowa is not owing workers salary.

DAY OF HONOUR FOR PETER IDION AS HE DISHED OUT THE SNIPER MISSILE THAT SENT OPPOSITION ELEMENTS IN WARD 10 GASPING FOR BREATH!

By Ernest Okorie Onyeagbor
Sir Peter Idion, During Ika South PDP campaign
The tough talking  retired Customs Officer, Sir Perter Idion is not a 'bom boi ' in Ika South politics, he has long over-paid his dues. He is an S.A on Community Development to His Excellency Sen Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, The Executive Governor of Delta  State, .A  pragmatic, philanthropic and practical political leader with penchant for helping the down trodden. He confided in Tsm media that wealth is meaningless if it has no impact on the masses. Make no mistakes, he is not a money bag but a selfless individual who hates to see people suffer. A certain Mrs Beatrice told the story of how her roasted yam business got a boast when the Agbor -born politician assisted her financially when her business almost crumbled. The benevolence of this iconic is public knowledge. He is the authentic pride of the masses!

"As a young boy, my parents desired to give me the best in life. They worked hard. In fact, in order that they might give me the best, they created a vacuum by exposing me to the care of strangers.

Not too long into the journey of my life, I had started smoking and was exposed to so many bad things at the early stage of my innocent life.

Though, my parents never knew anything. All these vices affected my life adversely. I stopped been a promising child. I became a source of sorrow to my parents. My father gave up on me while my mother would look at me and burst into tears. Neighbours made sure that their children kept a distance. I also lost all hope of ever making any success in life.

Thank God, my story changed when I stumbled on Hon. Sunny Ogwu, when he newly assumed office as SUBEB Chairman, Delta State, Nigeria. A man who knows how its hurts. He was skilled in mending the hopeless pieces of my yielded life. He gave me what no one had given me and I had a great peace.

He helped me, encouraged me and gave me the love that I had lacked. He advised me and asked me to go and acquire skill that can help me to be a man and also combat the challenges of life.

He encouraged me to  apply for YAGEP Program and expedited on it just to make sure that my name is shortlisted. Through YAGEP, I learnt a skill that is not only feeding me and my immediate family but my relatives that abandoned me.

When my family members saw that I was  cool headed and enhanced financially, they started coming close to me again not just for love but with their financial demands. They are holding me in high esteem in the family.

PDP CHIEFTAIN APPLAUD DELTA GOVERNMENT OVER PARTNERSHIP WITH GOD IS GOOD MOTORS

The Convener of Bridge Builders, a political pressure group within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ika South Local Government Chapter, Mr. Peter Idion has applauded the Delta State Government for taking a pro-active measure aimed at resuscitating the hitherto ailing Delta Line Transport Company through the partial privatization of the company.

Idion who was speaking during an enlarged meeting of the Bridge Builders whose membership cuts across all the political wards in the area, said that the decision of the state government to partner with God Is Good Motors, a reputable transport company, in repositioning Delta Line for enhanced productivity was quite germane, “considering the fact that the company has not done well despite government’s huge investment in it.”

According to him, government has no business running a transport company, adding that, Delta Line has, over the years, faced serious challenges resulting in outright decline of its service delivery due to poor management, poor work ethics and personal aggrandizement.

He disclosed that the state government had intermittently invested millions of naira to salvage the company, pointing out that a few years ago, 200 buses were procured for the company, “but unfortunately, most of the vehicles have either disappeared or are in state of disrepair."

Speaking further, Mr Idion explained that NLC can not manage Delta line because union is not experienced to run transportation company. "Take the instance of the buses donated by Chief Obasanjo and Jonathan regime. What happened to the buses till date? While some private transport companies are still on course. It's beyond mere saying I have N2 billion. Where is the evidence to show you have the money? Anybody who does not support what the government has done must be insane as it concerns delta line, he queried

The convener while congratulating the state government for reversing the increase on the payment of school fees by DELSU management, he said, " It shows that Gov Okowa is a listening Governor. Gov Okowa is a compassionate human being".

On the payment of retirement benefits to retirees in the state, Idion who is, also, a Senior Special Assistant to Delta State governor on Community Relations, said “going by the statistics released recently by the Chairman, State Bureau of Pensions, Mrs. Christiana Siakpere, the Okowa administration has done well as over N2.7 billion has so far been paid to 418 retirees in this 2017 fiscal year in the face of the present economic situation in the country.

He, therefore, urged retirees who were yet to get their retirement benefits to exercise patience with the government as they would certainly get their entitlements.

Also speaking during the meeting which was held at Mr. Idion’s residence in Agbor, the Chairman of the Bridge Builders, Hon. Chuks Emuebie said that Deltans were very comfortable with the faithful implementation of the SMART Agenda of the Okowa’s administration in the state, adding that more people from the opposition party in different parts of the state were decamping enmasse to the Peoples Democratic Party because of the way the PDP government is piloting the affairs of the state.

RE: THE POOR STATE OF AFFAIRS, INCOMPETENCE, LACK OF CAPACITY AND FRAUDULENT BUDGET PROCESS IN DELTA STATE.

We condemn in strongest terms the egregious display of hatred, narrow-mindedness and meanness by Ojuogboh in his press statement with the above caption.
Ojuogboh's press statement is pretty laughable and better left in the court of public opinion. Ordinarily, we do not want to join issues with Ojuogboh, but we have a responsibility to set the records straight for the general public, in the defence of the truth.
To say the least, that his (Ojuogboh) press statement did not only grossly misinformed unsuspecting public; it also portrays traces of campaign of calumny, blackmail and slander bent on destroying the name of our amiable Governor.

INFANT MEDICARE REMAINS FREE IN DELTA STATE, SAYS NKECHIKA

The Director General, Delta State Contributory Health Commission, Dr. Ben Nkechika, has said that the current administration has not only retained the free medical policy of the last administration but strengthened it for improved service delivery.
The clarification was made today at Asaba in response to online reports that misrepresented the health policy of Senator Okowa's  administration.
The DG said," Dr Ifeanyi Okowa did not phase out the Free Maternal and Under 5 Health-Care Programme in Delta State. The Delta State Government is still paying for the healthcare services given to all pregnant women and children under 5 years in hospitals. The programme only transitioned into the Health Scheme through which government pays to the hospitals for the service to ensure sustainability and accountability in the programme".

RE: FESTUS OFUME AND HIS YDP: HOW HONEST IS HE TO HIS FOLLOWERS?

We read with dismay how Barr. Festus Ofume and his Young Democratic Party (YDP), Delta State chapter lied against our group, _Bridge Builders_ while attempting to shift attention from some allegations levelled against him by one Delta Igoruh in a publication with the above caption.

Ordinarily, we would have ignored his infantile ways of diverting issues that need public knowledge but for the attention of the public, particularly Deltans, we wish to put the record straight.

It is unfortunate that while leaders and loyal Ika South People’s Democratic Party (PDP) members are struggling to sustain the new love and unity in the peace brought by our amiable governor, Sen. (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, some people could still be working underneath to scuttle the peace in the party by resolving to sponsoring of lies just to achieve selfish political goals.

For record purpose, we want to state here that we are not Delta Igoruh that did the said publication neither are we part of _Delta Decides_ where the publication was posted. We wonder what could be the motive of such concocted lies aimed at misinforming the public especially Deltans.

We also wish to state clearly that the antics of sponsors of the lies reported have again failed woefully in his (Ofume’s) bid to resort to mischief-making, blackmail and feeding the public with lies just to frustrate the newly found love in the Ika South PDP family and in Delta general. We in Ika South PDP are focused and no amount of lies can derail us again.

The truth is that Barr. Ofume lacks respect and if we don't know his late father, Hon. Jumbo Ofume, people would have questioned his upbringing. It is so sad that he could be talking about a man that has spent so much money for the youth of Ika South. Barr. Ofume told us that he collected money even when he is not a delegate but he (Ofume) didn't tell us how much this man in question have been spending his personal money for the people. The man he tried to dent his image has empowered people of Ika South since 1999. His kindness is not in doubt all over the local government. How much is delegate money compared to what he has been spending for people? We must give respect to whom it is due. The truth is that people love him because of his character and personality unlike a young Barr. Ofume that is a houseboy to an ‘big’ man in Abuja. This man he tried to insult is a tested man that has been financing PDP since 1999.

We are again calling on leaders and members of our great party particularly in Ika South and Delta State in general to disregard those wicked lies and join hands with our party leaders in preaching the gospel of prosperity which is one of our principles so we can face other challenges ahead of the party.

Ozubulu Catholic Church Attack Was Over A Failed Drug Business By Two South Africa-Based Drug Barons

Preliminary investigations by the police is suggesting that the attack by gunmen at the St Phillips Catholic Church in Ozubulu in Anambra state yesterday August 6th, was due to a failed drug business. A man identified by his alias, Bishop, and one of his brothers in the community known as Obrocho, both based in South Africa, were reportedly drug barons.

The fight between the men bean after a business deal failed and both men stärted accusing each other of cheating.

The feud from the failed business culminated in one of the men sending assassins to kill Bishop who was reportedly in Nigeria on a visit. However, when the assassin and his gang members arrived Bishop's home, they did not meet him at home, so they went in search of his Father, Chief Akunwafor Ikegwuonwu, who was at the church for the morning mass.  They shot him dead as well as other church members.

The state police commissioner, Garba Umar, has dismissed allegations that Boko Haram members were behind the attack. Umar told newsmen yesterday that the church members say the gunmen spoke Igbo during the attack.

Eleven people have so far been confirmed dead in the attack.

THE SAID PLOT OF LAND WAS GIVEN TO ME BY MY LATE FATHER, CHIEF ONWUKAEGWU NWAONICHA. I SOLD THE LAND TO MY YOUNGER BROTHER, DR CHUKWUMA NWAONICHA.

My father, Chief Nwaonicha Onwukaegwu married two wives, my own mother and another woman called Alice who unfortunately was snatched from my father by another man. My father refused to let go as he fought to get back what belonged to him. Unfortunately, the case dragged to the court and my father was later given four months jail sentence for not handling the issue legally. I was angered over the court judgment because i knew my father was not wrong in his action. During this period, I hired the services of Barr Maidoh and Barr Oven to help get justice for my father.

SUPREME COURT JUDGEMENT: PETER IDION URGES SHERIF PDP FACTION TO EMBRACE PEACE AND RECONCILIATION

By Aleh Anita
Since the declaration of the Supreme Court last week on who the real chairman of PDP is, calm has returned to the party, with both factions toeing the line of reconciliation.

With this development, the PDP Chairman Ika South local government, Hon. Collins Bello has during the week inaugurated a reconciliation committee in the local government headed by Chief Igumbor, the Osagwe of Agbor Kingdom, with  Mr. Peter Idion, S. A to the governor on Community Relation as one of the members. As a member of the reconciliation committee, Mr. Idion has appealed to the Sherif PDP faction to return to the umbrella body of the PDP, especially in Ika South Local Government.

He stated that there would be no point in going to form or float another political party, as they are well known, recognized and respected in PDP, he urged them to join hands and work together with the Markarfi led PDP in order to ensure the governor of the state, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is returned to office in 2019, stressing that there is no vacancy at the Government House, Asaba.

He further urged all PDP members in both local governments to work together, adding that if Ika Nation misses the opportunity to return Okowa as the governor come 2019, it will take another 50 years before such opportunity will come to Ika Nation again.

According to him, “it will be wrong for any Ika man to support anybody aside Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for governor, saying that anybody that does that will be referred to as an enemy of Ika Land, and also an enemy of progress”.

He urged all hands to be on deck, to embrace peace and unity in pursuing a common goal, saying that a house divided against itself cannot stand. He further affirmed that there is no opposition party in Delta state, as the state is a PDP state, and the opposition in the state is submerged in internal crisis, and has no plans for the people.

He concluded by admonishing all PDP members to avoid blame games and finger pointing, urging them to work as one big family. He used the opportunity to call on the Makarfi led PDP to forgive and welcome the Sheriff led PDP members, so that the party can forge ahead, especially in Ika South Local Government Area.

Senate Bans Goodluck Jonathan From 2019 Presidential Polls

The Nigerian Senate has today ruled against the participation of a former president of the country, Goodluck Jonathan in the forthcoming elections.

Recall that the former president who lost in 2015 against the ruling president, Muhammadu Buhari had made his plight to re-contest for the Presidency known some months ago.

The Nigerian Senate has however on Wednesday shattered the ambition following its decision which was reached after a voting process.

The Senate declared that the former president was barred from re-contesting and running for a second term in office. This was done during voting in series of new bills being passed by the upper legislative chamber.

The Bill sought that any vice president who had completed a tenure of a sitting president and contested a fresh four years mandate shall not be eligible to run for a second term of office.

Re: Okowa's Aide Fumbles On His Own Speech

By Agboje Chuks
I stumbled on a report, by a media blog with the above title, which I read with rapt attention because, I wanted to know which of the Okowa's aide and how he fumbled on his own speech.

Reading through the report, I became astonished, and was left in wonderment as, the said Aide happens to be a retired teacher, educationist of not the modern era, but a teacher of the old block, who unleashed his best when there was educational potency.

In the report also, he mentioned that a board member absconded with the sum of 500 thousand naira and that food was diverted.

These gave me a clearer picture of what his intentions were, and also gave me the requisite strength and reasons to intro inspect him.

Sequel to the above, I would have replied him from my understanding immediately, but was in a tight corner due to the ever increasing demand of my job.

In a clearer sense, I concluded that the writer's report was full of paradoxes and lacked Res  Sua, since the body of report lacked the informative strengths to prove to the public how a teacher and a former local Chairman who was signing memo and other correspondence could not read his own speech.

The report is not only defamatory, but against writing rules, since there is no complete the "5 ,W and The H" hence, the writer would have told us who was the board member who absconded with the said amount, since there is a saying that "he who accuses one for stealing his chicken, should be able to provide his feather as prove".

Scanning also through the accused, Hon. Sunny Ogwu's profile, one would see that he have excellent track records and has trained people who are colossus in variant profession.

Ruminating on the above, one would also see that the writer may have written because he was prompted to have reasoned through his stomach as he emphatically mentioned it that they also diverted food or, he may have had his reasoning deficiency surfaced which I suggest that a psychotherapist should recommend psychotherapy after much intro - inspection.

PDP CRISIS: Nwaonicha Hails Supreme Court Judgment

A community leader and Chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State, Elder Dr Chukwuma Nwaonicha, has hailed the July 12, 2017 Supreme Court judgment that validates the appointment of Senator Ahmed Makarfi as the Chairman, National Caretaker Committee PDP.

Nwaonicha who spoke with newsmen shortly after the apex court judgment, at his Agbor residence, said he is overwhelmed with joy that the long awaited judgment was in favor of Senator Makarfi and other political leaders who meant well not only for the PDP but the entire country.

In the words of Nwaonicha, "I salute the Supreme Court Judges for their historical judgment that has restored hope and light in our great party, PDP. I hail the judgment and appreciate most especially, my governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, other governors in the country and all PDP leaders for the sacrifices, time and resources committed to the case while it lasted in court. The judgment no doubt will reposition our party towards landslide victories in 2019 general elections. I urge Senator Ali Modu Sheriff and his cohorts to sheath their swords and join hands with Senator Makarfi to build the PDP as there is no victor no vanquish. He used the medium to reiterate his avowed commitment towards the success of Governor Okowa's administration."

Finally, Nwaonicha said "the apex court decision is a victory to democracy, loss to dictatorship and one party state. It is a victory to the true and real national political party that unifies (PDP) rather than the one that divides (APC). He advised that the PDP win is a wake-up call for all authentic stakeholders of the party to show discipline, embrace good leadership and governance."

DESOPADEC is Moribund, Dead and Buried With Forgotten Obsequies - Sam Odibo

A high chief from Udu, Chief Sam Odibo, the Spokesman of Udu Kingdom, has declared that as far as Udu Local Council Area was concerned, the Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission, DESOPADEC, is moribund, dead and buried with forgotten obsequies.

He adding that for so many years running, the commission has not done anything for the people of the oil-rich Udu LGA of the state, stressing that the purpose for which the agency was established has been defeated.

It would be noted that since the inception of this Okowa led administration not a single contract has been awarded, the oil producing communities have been completely neglected in the very eyes of our representatives in government and our traditional rulers.

The Governor has consistently diverted the 13% derivation funds meant for oil bearing communities thereby leaving the once vibrant organisation in comatose.

Former DTHA Members Petition Okowa Over Unpaid Allowances and severances Allowances

Three former members of the Delta State House of Assembly in the last administration have petitioned Governor Ifeanyi Okowa over their unpaid allowances and severances.

In a letter made available to this medium, which was signed by A. O. Ikolo on behalf of Austine O. Ikolo & Co., Hon. Chief Barr. Obukohwo Joseph Oshevire, Hon. Chief Julius Okpoko and Hon. Jenkins Duvie Giane who represented Ethiope East, Okpe and Ughelli North 2 constituencies respectively from 2011-2015 stated that "their salaries and allowances borne by the Delta State Government were fully paid save for the allowances for the months of April and May 2015, where a paltry sum was paid out of the total allowances for both months".

The letter further reads: "we are further informed that the severance and allowances for the members of the House and that of their aides which falls due at the end of 2011-2015 session has also not been paid up till date".

The former Honourable members wondered why Sen. Okowa who himself has received all his allowances and severance allowance from the federal government shortly after serving as Senator of the federal republic but refused to pay the former lawmakers of his state.

The former honourable members asked Governor Okowa to pay up their allowances and severances within three weeks upon the receipt of the letter as they will be left with no option than to seek legal option should he neglect/fail or refuse to pay them what is due to them.

Sheriff Oborevwori, said the Deputy Governor, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro, shall act in his stead, as Acting Governor during the period of the governor’s leave.

A motion by Majority Leader of the House, Hon. Tim Owhefere, sued that the letter be received and acknowledged by the House and was unanimously acknowledged by the House after the member representing Udu, Hon. Okagbare Uviejitobor, seconded the motion.

Photo: EFCC arrests NABDA's DG for N23m scam

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested a serving Director General of the National Biotechnology Development Agency, NABDA, Professor( Mrs) Lucy Jumeyi Ogbadu, for her alleged involvement in criminal conspiracy and diversion of public funds to the tune of N23million.

Ogbadu was arrested on Wednesday in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, following her alleged linkage with the Bayelsa State's Director of Bioresources Development Centre, Mr. Josiah Habu who is being investigated by the EFCC in a case of fraudulent diversion of the sum of N75,0000,000.00k( Seventy Five Million Naira only).

Investigations by the EFCC showed that Ogbadu allegedly received the sum of N23million through a bank account belonging to the wife of Habu, Mrs. Esther Habu and admitted same in a voluntary statement made to the EFCC.

Further investigations have also shown that, Mrs Esther Habu is one of the contractors with Bioresources Development Centre, Odi, Bayelsa State and a total sum of N603,000,000.00k( Six Hundred and Three Million Naira only) has been traced to her, in different deals involving over 20 Directors of Bioresources Development Centres across the country.

Ogbadu's linkage with all these scams is being investigated. She has been duly served with bail conditions while investigations continue.

DELTA COMMISSIONER, NNAMDI SURVIVES FATAL ACCIDENT, AIDE CONFIRMED DEAD (PHOTO)

The Commissioner representing Ndokwa in Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Hon Nnamdi Ezechi has survived a fatal auto accident, Delta Decides can authoritatively report.

It was gathered that while Hon. Nnamdi was lucky to have survived the accident, his police escort, Sergeant Sunday Victor, alias Ojukwu however died.

Although information about the accident was still sketchy at the time of filling this report however, sources revealed that the white TOYOTA HILUX which they were travelling in somersaulted severally and squeezed into flat sheet.

The survival of the Commissioner was by the grace of God, a source disclosed

"Okowa Remains The Worst Governor Delta Has Ever Produced" - PDP Chieftain

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Isoko Federal constituency, High Chief Paul Olotu Eriri assessing the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa administration in Delta State in the past two years came out with his damning verdict: “It is a disaster.”

Eriri spoke while fielding questions from a community newspaper. He stated: “If you ask me about my assessment of Okowa’s administration within the last two years, I will answer this way, it is a disaster. He is the worst governor this state has ever produced. In fact, Okowa is the worst governor Africa has ever experienced. Nothing has been done; no achievement of anything.”
Eriri who described himself as a member of the PDP, a chieftain and a leader of the same party with the governor pointed out that his assessment would not be based on the fact that he belongs to the same political party with the governor. “I will be sincere, honest, professional and patriotic in my assessment,” he declared.

He began: “The way to start assessment of Dr. Okowa’s administration for the period of two years is to read his own personal assessment which has been published in the State newspaper, The Pointer. If you read several editions of The Pointer from December 30th, 2016 to the middle of January 2017, you will get a lot of information about his own personal assessment as it has been published Ministry by Ministry, Directorate by Directorate, Agency by Agency.
“If you go through the whole page, then you can now match it with the realities on ground. You can subtract publicity and image making from partialities and realities on ground. When you read the assessment in those editions of The Pointer, you will first ask yourself a question: Where are we going? In one of the publications, you will see that the Ministry of Information, some of the achievements so listed include the servicing of a generator. In other words, one of the achievements of the Governor is to service a generator that was not working before. What an achievement!
“And they went further to list other achievements that are completely ridiculous, talking about provision of smart phones to directors as an achievement. I just said, is anything wrong with this guy as a Governor? The Governor that is supposed to develop the State, provide infrastructure, provide facilities and you are talking of distribution of Smart Phones to Directors of Ministry of Information as achievement.

“You go to the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources and others; you see that one of the achievements is testing of bore holes and others as an achievement. Frankly speaking, that a governor who could not provide water for the citizens of the state would go ahead and ask people that have boreholes under the pretense that he is testing the quality of water. It is unthinkable, it is unimaginable, but it is real. It was even published. “
Asked as an economist if the shortfall in revenue accruing to the state is accountable for the slow pace of development in the state, or is there enough revenue that His Excellency can use to develop the state as expected, Eriri responded this way: “As an economist and with my understanding of the economy of Delta State economy in particular, I can tell you that Delta State has more than enough resources and have no reason to shy away from their responsibilities claiming that there is down fall in income.

“You have to compare what comes to Delta State and what goes to other states. Go to Cross River and see wonders, go to Akwa Ibom and see miracles, go to Rivers and see projects that are going on. What is the difference in terms of Federal Allocation, what is the difference in terms of internally generated Revenue? The last time I read, according to their board, they are generating over six billion in a month in Delta State. So, it is not a question about resources,” Eriri declared.

He accused Governor Okowa of killing and burying the Delta state Oil Producing and Development Commission (DESOPADEC). He said: “I can tell you right away that Okowa deliberately killed and buried DESOPADEC. DDESOPADEC is dead and buried. The problem we have here is that, Okowa, since he came to power has never provided funds for the running of the commission. That is why no project is going on anywhere in the oil producing communities because Okowa has starved the whole Commission of funds.

“There is a monthly allocation from Federal; the 13 percent derivation is not given to the commission. Where is the money? Okowa should tell the state where the money is.”

He said the oil producing communities have been destroyed in terms of development, claiming that there is nothing happening in those places.
Eriri also said he was holding the governor responsible even for the 13 months non- payment of salaries to local government workers, with “all the France Club refund money.”

“So, I hold Okowa responsible; that we have never never seen anything like this in my entire life, and I said it and I am repeating myself, Okowa remains the worst governor Delta has ever produced,” High Chief Eriri exclaimed.

The PDP chieftain also took a swipe at the the administration’s SMART agenda. Pointing out that that there is nothing smart in the acronym SMART, Eriri said: “It think that is the least intelligent thing in the world. I want to give you the challenge, as any of the government officials you come across; ask the governor, His Excellency, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa when you meet him that, Sir, what is the meaning of SMART. It will take Okowa the next one hour to explain the meaning of SMART. In other words, there is nothing smart in that word SMART. There is nothing smart about the agenda.

“The programme is a failure. It is just a way of siphoning money, and I will give a practical example right away. Recently, I read in the newspaper, and of course, The Pointer because it is the voice of Okowa, that he distributed 40,000 fingerlings to farmers. A fingerling sells for N20 now, that is N800,000 for 40,000 fingerlings. I am very sure if they check the account for the amount for the supply, you will see N8 million or more, but the actual cost of a fingerling is N20 per one because I am a farmer, I know the cost.

“Forty thousand fingerlings are not enough for an average farmer, one farmer. Again, when you distribute 40,000 fingerlings to farmers and you think you have you have done wonders in the world, if they are not lucky they may not get 10 percent of those fingerlings to eatable size because they will not be able to manage it.,” Eriri stated.
