While many will hasten to say no, others might be slow in answering if they consider a recent remark in the media by Chief Frank Kokori, a former member of the DPP, who was quoted as saying that the emergence of APC meant the possible death of DPP in Delta State. Well, the fact is that the DPP still remains the party to beat in Delta State.

A socio-political pressure group in Delta State which has been in the forefront of enthroning good governance in the state, ‘Delta Decides’, has sworn-in its executives, to pilot the affairs of the group for the next four years. This was made known to pressmen at the occasion of the swearing-in ceremony held recently at Asaba, Oshimili south local government area of Delta state.

The newly re-elected co-ordinator, Mr Darlington Okonma, thanked the Board of Trustees Chairman, and the members for the confidence reposed on him. He noted that his re-erection shows that the love members of the organization have for him, adding that for that singular reason, he will not fail. He urged members of the exco both those who where re-elected and those coming on board to serve the interest of the people and not their personal agenda.

DELTA State Women with the name “Concerned Women for Ochei, Ndokwa Chapter, rose from their executive meeting last Sunday, with vote of confidence for excellent performance passed on the speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei. The Women during their National Executive meeting in Kwale, also called on the speaker to join other Delta North aspirants for the governorship of the state come 2015 elections.
