Elder Godsday Peter Orubebe, the Minister for Niger Delta Affairs has publicly declared his intention to run for Delta State 2015 governorship election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The Hon minister made this known to the people of Ovuoire community in Ethiope East LGA, and Deltans in general at a condolence visit to the families of Alams Barovbe, on the death of their father -High Chief Lord ALAMS Barovbe (JP), the "Okakuro" of Agbon in Ovu Inland Community of Ethiope East LGA Delta State. Though, it didn’t come as a surprise to most Deltants, as it has been rumoured long before now that he is eyeing the number one seat.

Boi Chuks lying on Bed, Obi Uche

The traditional ruler of Abavo Kingdom, HRM, Uche Irenuwa was penultimate week accused of an alleged manslaughter attempt on the life of his subject.

Report has it that on April 24, 2013, the young man, Mr. Boi Chuks, whose full body and lacerated right limb is seen on the bed in the picture below, were attacked without provocation in a local restaurant where they had gone to eat following their return from the court session at Agbor on that same day by a group of some heavily armed thugs attached to His Royal Highness.
